My sister is slim, and she has epilepsy, spina bifida, Gillian Barre syndrome, and a dozen other things they can't even diagnose. My father is slim and has a terminal lung disease.
My great uncle was slim, and he died yesterday (age 68) of very preventable kidney failure.
My grandmother is slim, and she has been in hospital for two days; the can't decide if she's had a stroke, if she has a UTI, chronic fatigue, or what.
Being slim usually means you're at a lower risk of type 2 diabetes, stroke, heart disease, etc etc, but there's a hell of a lot more to it than that.
To help prevent disease you have to eat right, exercise regularly, and live your life according to the lessons you were sent here to learn.
Being healthily slim is beneficial, but not the total answer.

Ofcourse no. There are many ways to keep the body slim. If you use the wrong way (like eat little or do not eat at all) your body will become weak and you will get sick easier!! Keep fit but don't be underweight or overweight. Have normal breakfast, lunch and dinner and don't eat too much junk foods...If can, don't eat junk food at all...This will keep you slim, and healthy...(n_n)

no. body slimming has nothing to do with disease prevention. If you are on diet to keep body in good condition is different story.

Depends on diet that makes you look slim, it should be healthy, can prevent decease, especially diabetes and high blood pressure.

Should eat healthy food, not keeping you hungry, otherwise that causes low blood pressure, dizzy head, skin deceases.
Diet should be balanced, to keep fit and not just slim.

No, not true at all. Some people have even bones showing out, and that's not even healthy. There are people out there with eating disorders, hungers, one good example: Somalia!
