Every cat in the world (at least the Christian one) thinks that the xmas tree is the greatest cat toy their Humans could ever give them...to add to the excitement is the game of "stay off the tree" and "stealthily get past the Human's defense of the tree"....a perfect game to hone the skills of a stalking/hunting species... LOL!!!!

I always hang bells on the bottom branches so that I can hear it if the cat gets in the tree. Of course, a really smart cat can get around that, but at least it helps a little.

lol! My cats although they are indoor & outdoor cats love my Christmas tree. I have a ribion around it tied to the window. Cause when moms not home timberrrrrr. The bottem layers have styrafoam balls. {They love to pull them off the tree and roll them throught the house.} They have learned that thats all they can play with. My faithful water bottle sits where they can see it. And yes the dog gets nervous. Barking and trying to play too.

no, it's the other way around, cats are the mortal enemies of the tree. the dog is nervous because the cats can't yell "TIMBERRRR"

starting to be up we consistently had the classic tree: colored lights furnishings and all the adorns we had made or accumulated over the years. And my mom consistently made it in simple terms appropriate and captivating! i'm married now and this can be the 1st time my husband and that i post an entire length tree (there replaced into no room in our old tiny place of residing). We in basic terms have a handful of adorns we've accumulated (my mom stored maximum of my old ones) so some distance, so i pass to purchase some classic pink, eco-friendly and silver glass ball adorns to fill the tree. i like classic Christmas colorations! yet I even have considered some astonishing themed wood: white, silver and warm pink; eco-friendly and gold; pink and gold; white, silver and blue; silver and eco-friendly...the possibilities are high limitless! have relaxing with your adorning!

The cat's motto is: Veni, vidi, vici...i came, i saw, i conquered! The cat must defeat the tree..decoration by decoration..whatever it takes to conquer it! The poor dog can only sit back and watch the battle.

I think that they see them as something to be climbed and conquered.
