Try asking him for his number or his email address so you can ask him out, if he's always out and about with his friends. Of course he might read the text/email while his friends are there, but what else can you do?

If you want to go out with this guy so bad, here's what you do. Try to call or talk to him about meeting him in a place ALONE! Second, go ahead and ask him out. Take a deep breath and ask him. Now if he says yes, dont get too excited. Just then tell him where to meet then you go home, feel good.

Dunno about the ID part but ask him out for coffee, drink or something neutral like that. Takes a bit of courage (scares me too!) but once you relax, things work out! P.S, don't use Dutch courage to work yourself up to the big ask, that's a quick way to find yourself blubbering like a fish!
