Seeing a doctor might be a god idea but don't panic. I had similar quite a few years ago and my doctor told me that it was a migraine attack! Seriously! No headache just the pins and needles and some numbness in my left arm and hand. I did have the funny lights in my eyes, too. Did you get those?
Flex your hand as often as you can and take a little light exercise. I'm sorry but you should avoid alcohol. If you still don't feel better by Wednesday, pay your GP a visit.
I think that you'll find that the doctors in A&E get a bit fed up with people who have had a condition for a few days and then decide that they need to pay a visit on Christmas Day!
Hope you feel better soon.

Basic Training of the Puppy - Read here https://tr.im/zLXs2
The new puppy is certainly one of the most adorable and cuddly creatures that has ever been created. It is the most natural thing in the world to shower it with love and affection. However, at the same time it is important to realize that if you want to have a well trained adult dog, you need to begin the training process right away. The dog, like its related ancestor, the wolf, is a pack animal. One of the features of a pack is that it has a single dominant leader. Your new puppy is going to want that leader to be you, but if you do not assume that role from the very beginning, the puppy’s instincts will push him to become the leader.
The most important thing to remember about training the puppy during its first six months of life is that it must see you as the leader of the family pack. The essential thing is gaining the trust and the respect of the puppy from the beginning. You will not do this by allowing the puppy to do whatever it wants to do whenever it wants to do it. On the other hand, a certain amount of patience is required. Most people err in their early training by going to extremes one way or the other. Although you need to begin the basic training process at once, you can not expect your dog to do too much at first. Basic obedience training is fine and should include simple commands like sit, stay, and come. Remember that trying to teach the dog advanced obedience techniques when it is a puppy is much like trying to teach a five year old child algebra.
It is also important to restrain from cruel or abusive treatment of the puppy. You can not beat obedience into your dog, and it certainly is not going to engender feeling of respect and trust. House breaking is an area where this usually becomes a problem because of the anger that is triggered when the puppy fails and creates a mess inside the home. Although this issue must be addressed without anger, it most be addressed. If you allow the puppy to eliminate inside the house, it will continue to do so as an adult dog. The same thing is true of other destructive or dangerous behavior such as chewing and biting. Do not expect the puppy to grow out of it. You are going to need to train the puppy out of it, but you should do so firmly but with a sense of play and fun using positive reinforcement and lots of love and praise for good behavior.

I suffered with a similar thing for a long time. I also had pins and needles in the centre of my palm. Quite often severe pain. The Doc said carpal tunnel syndrome....I went to a specialst a few weeks later. It was actually brought on by a shoulder injury, trapped nerves and nerve damage. Be wary of taking any anti-inflamitry medication until you find out what the problem is. If you are going to take anything just the minimum ammount of aspirin...but as one of the other answers...if you have pain in your left arm, short of breath or diziness or any other symptoms go to A&E

You should immediately contact NHS direct (08454647) and your doctor as soon as you can, it might be a good idea to take a trip to casualty, pains or pins and needles or numbness in the left arm may mean you have a heart problem. If you have it is better to get it treated sooner rather than later. Don't panic about this as if this is your heart it could make it worse, just get yourself checked out. Merry Christmas. Take an aspirin too, it could make a big difference if this is a heart problem.

Assuming you have not been laid on it. Firstly pins and needles denote a restricted blood supply to the area so would suggest as you have had it for 2 days seek medical help, if you are in the UK try NHS Direct number in phone book, or go to A & E if own doctor not available, if symptoms get worse you may make things worse. Dont want to list the down side here. Do it for yourself....

Sounds like a tweaked nerve in the ulnar distribution. While you're making arrangements to see your physician, try putting a cold pack on the inner aspect of your elbow for about 10 minutes, let warm, and do not put any weight on that elbow, either while holding a pen, pencil, or leaning on a table, and so forth.

Maybe you have a Repetitive Strain Injury, is it just in one bit around a muscle?
It happened to me once after a few days my arm got real sore and eventually i couldn't even turn pages in a book, that was when i went to the doctors and he gave me some tablets that cleared it up really fast.
Moral of the story - Go to the Doctors.

You could have inadvertently knocked your elbow and be developing Bursitis, a swelling of the elbow which presses on the ulnic nerve. Had it for about six months now. Swelling gone, pins and needles still there..
