Another good question based on facts. December 25 was the birthday of the unconquered sun, natalis solis invicti, which at the winter solstice begins again to show an increase in light.

regarding the date DEC. 25th given for the birth of Jesus, there is no evidence to indicate that this is correct. you can find no where in the bible where Jesus himself celebrated his birth, nor any of his followers. the first mention of the of the celebration of Christmas occurred in ad 336 in an early roman calendar. yes December 25th is the celebration of the SUN and NOT THE SON

This day was originally the celebration of the Sun and was changed to celebrate Jesus. This is why I do not celebrate Christmas anymore.
