You should definitely help her and wash up since she went to the trouble of cooking. Kitchen work isn't just a woman's work.

If she's done the cooking then you should let her put her feet up while you do the washing up, it's only fair

im lucky i have my arm in plaster so my mum in law cooks and my wife washes up otherwise i would do it but i have a bloody good excuse not to so give her a treat get in the kitchen

That is why I had kids--dad is cooking and they are cleaning up the dishes. That is what I call a Christmas present!

Well, if you are as inept washing as you are insensitive, I suggest you wash your clothes, pack them in a cardboard box and go live alone.
