I guess it would depend on why they didn't want you 2 together. But, for the most part no. I married someone my parents didn't like. I wasn't disowned or cut out of the will they just have to like it. He's not married to them anyway.
Then again, they did have a good reason for me not to marry him. He's lazy and doesn't clean up after him self, but so was I.
Now I'm the house maid, and I quit 2wks ago, lol. Also, he didn't have a stable job to take care of us, and he's bull headed. But, I love him, and he has a good job now, so I can stay at home.
So, if it's true love then stay together if you are willing to suffer the consequences. If it's not tell her it's been cool but I can't deal with this anymore, I may have promised I'd stick in know matter what, but I can't it's to much. Let's just be friend's until they cool off or something.

Of course not!! don't let the parents be in the way of anything. They have to learn to live with it. Their baby girl has grown into a woman, and now have to be as one with Her Man. Don't leave her, 'cause seriously, she needs you more then ever going through this problem. I know, I've been in it, and I'm happy with the end results. My parents got over it, and now they Love my husband just as much as they love me.

It depends on the girl. If she can put up with it and live with you becuz she loves you, and stop them from interfering with your relationship, and be ready to face possible overcoming difficulties with you, and you love her too, then do not brake up.
If shes so - so and they do interfere, then youre on your own and its a game for two ppl, not one.
Good luck and Merry Xmas
