I would call a professional since there is a chance it is a toxic mold or check your previous question concerning this problem (sorry, fot some reason my computer is now rejecting alt functions and right clicks since I installed IE 7 today- it is gone tomorrow since you were my last question for the day since it is 4:45am here). Best of luck.

Not all mold will affect you, unless you are allergic. The best thing to do would be call a professional mold inspector to determine if there is mold in the walls, where and how much. If mold is present, make sure air samples are taken to determine the spore count in the air.

I would not recommend home test kits, as these only tell you the type of mold present, and not the amount in the air. I would also caution you in removing the mold yourself as more damage can be done by spreading the spores around.

Follow you inspector's recommendations and re mediate as soon as possible. Visit horizon-inspections.com, mold page for more information. Feel free to email with any questions. Good luck

Notall mold is toxic, so please don't panic. Call an environmental testing company. They can come out and test it or have you scrape some in a package for testing if you are able to get to itl

If it is like most household mold, you can get rid of it with bleach, (use in a well-ventilatted area), and by sealing up all water leaks and making sure there is plenty of air getting through the house.

If it is "black mold" of the serious toxic variety, then the walls must be torn down and replaced, as well as anything behind them that is infected with the mold. Same things apply: seek out the source and fix it to prevent anymore mold from forming on your new walls and insulation.
