Having read some of the other answers, I must say, there are some problems that cannot be worked out. If you or your children are being abused, then don't wait. However, I'm guessing that isn't the case. If it was, you wouldn't even have to ask. I am a child of divorce, as I'm sure most of us are, and I won't judge anyone on what they do. But if you have children, and you have problems that can be worked out, you should try a little harder. When you have children, you have a responsibility to them, before yourself. Although its very common these days to give up on your marriage, it doesn't mean that its always ok. You are helping to make divorce the trend it is today. You should be seeking counseling instead of asking strangers when the prime divorce season is.

Most definitely! If you cannot possibly resolve the issues with your spouse and you feel absolutely certain that you have to divorce, it would be best for the children if you waited until after the holidays. The impact to your children could be terrible if you separated right around the holidays because they may always associate a time that should be happy with disapointment, hurt, or sorrow.

getting a divorce especially when there are children involve is being selfish, there are no problem in this world that can't be solve try to work out everything for the sake of your children. getting married is a big sacrifice and you have known it. Don't let the children suffer because of your shortcomings but be man enough to carry that burden coz in so doin you'll reap great rewards.
