My windows media player is acting up and not consistenly opening. Is something wrong with it? and how do I reinstall it?

uninstall it, then go install Windows Media Player 11

Yes better to reinstall -
Go to control panel >> add/remove programmes >> then select the win media player

Then reinstall media player, if you are having the CD or otherwise download from microsoft.com or from download.com

(( you can make a trial by reinstalling without actually un-installing, sometimes this will also works))

Be sure your system is free from virus and spywares. To download some free antivirus and anti spyware, you can visit download.com

Go to my computers goto unistall delete the program and DL a new one.

Most likely a virus is messing with the files of your computer. Do a virus scan and spysweaper to see what you get.

Uninstall it then maybe you could just install an older version of it. It saves memory, WMP 11 is over 8MB & I also find it hard to use. Try Winamp. It's more fun to use.
