To kill them use a natural roach spray called 'Orange Guard'. It works. It's safe around pets and plants. It;s available at Whole Foods Supermarkets. They have a website: www.orangeguard.com

You have to locate an area outside of the house. On your land, possibly as far from the house as possible, bait a trail going to the selected area and kill them in masses as they conglomerate in that area. Remove and dispose of them after you exterminate them. Dig a hole at the selected area, making it easier for you to kill them with one stomp. Don´t forget to check the area frequently. Continuing to exterminate them frequently. Refreshing the trail as bait disappears. In approximately 2 weeks they´ll be out of your house. Good Luck! Just a Tip: They like moist enclose areas,if possible use a hose or enclose (wooden) trail that leads to their final destination !

Go get some plain Borax......not Boraxo hand soap but borax, it is a white powder and it plugs their breathing oriffices (they breathe thru their feet) and they smother to death. This is the way my grandmother got rid of them before they came out with all the insecticides for home use.

Boric acid, it is very effective when used properly for killing cockroaches and most other insects. You can also get a house lizard, they are natural enemies and will eat them. More information at http://tinyurl.com/ofxkk
