Was it just a nifty bit of family planning
An earlier question through up the dea it was a public holiday.
This has always baffled me.
If god is that smart you think he could have made it the
1st of january.
Now that would have been real smart and proved once and for all there maybe is a god

How come he was born on the same day 25th dec but dies on a different day every year?

No. Probably born in October or November in 3-5 BC. The December 25th date was chosen for three reasons. First, it was the birthday of Mithra, a competing god of the time. Second, it was close to December 22, the shortest day of the year, which appealed to the pagans of the time. Third, it was also the time of the Roman Saturanalia, the main Roman holiday of mid winter. It is much easier to "borrow" the holy day of others and convert the day to your own faith than to get them to celebrate an entirely new day.

No, we celebrate Christmas because that is the date he was supposedly born, the fact that there were already celebrations at that time of the year for the winter solstice is just a coincidence not, Dec 25 is just a convenient date, and as there were already celebrations at that time that could easily be used to incorporate the celebrations of the birth of Christ, then that date was chosen. The bible does give some ideas as to the time of the year

jesus was not born on dec 25, the catholic church decreed that dec 25 would be a day of Mass to remember his birth. it has grown wicked and corrupt from time to time and in the 1800's was actually outlawed for the criminal activities it became.
but there is nothing wrong with christians having a seasonal time to make a holiday when the Pagan and More wicked part of society would choose drunkeness and lewdness to make separate their own traditions.
Jesus was born in the spring, thats what i believe, but some say in fall

Truth be told Jesus WASN'T born on 25 of December, this is just the date we celebrate as his birthday. Do a bit more real research.

"The early Christian church did not celebrate Jesus' birth. It wasn't until A.D. 440 that the church officially proclaimed December 25 as the birth of Christ. This was not based on any religious evidence but on a pagan feast. Saturnalia was a tradition inherited by the Roman pagans from an earlier Babylonian priesthood. December 25 was used as a celebration of the birthday of the sun god. It was observed near the winter solstice."

According to scripture, Jesus was not born on december 25th. After the romans hijacked chritianity they made Jesus' birthday the 25th to replace a sun-god celebration that the roman emporer used to enjoy ebfore he was converted. The date has no significance in the bible.

He wasn't.

Its a Pagan holiday about the returning sun. Jesus was born sometime in April or in September and not in 00ad either - he was born between 7 and 4 ad.

The rest of the bible is even less accurate and most of it is meaningless drivel.

'Good book' indeed. Religious people should burn their books and read some Dickens. Hell, Tom Clancy is more high brow.

Um, he wasn't born on December 25th. When the Christians were trying to convert the Pagans, they used Pagan holidays as their own. This was the Saturnalia feast day before it became Christmas. In fact, researchers have determined that Jesus was born sometime in April.

If you will just study your Bible, you will find out that Jesus was not born on December 25th, but was born sometime in September because the sheppards were still out in the fields tending their flocks ! When the weather turned cold, they would fasten their flocks up in pens under their dwellings.

Uh what? December 25th is Christmas because Christmas used to be a pagan holiday and in order to convert more believers, people started celebrating the birth of their lord on December 25th.

He wasn't....we celebrate His birth on that day, however, biblical historians place His birth in the Spring of the year and some say September. The Bible actually teaches that His death and resurrection are what should be celebrated rather than His birth.
Have a blessed Christmas
