There is no doubt that Jesus(pbuh) is one of the many prophets of Islam. Even the Holy Koran contains many 'ayats' and 'surahs' on him. It confirms of his "divine" birth and that he is not dead, but that God had raised him from the face of this earth.
But the Islamic calender hardly mentions of Christmas as a Muslim holiday. It is incomprehensible to my mind as to how a Muslim who is supposed to regard Jesus(pbuh) as one of the chief prophets of Islam can refrain from celebrating his birthday!

The same came be said about Abraham, Noah, and Moses ....
but still we don't celebrate their birthdays, one reason might be that we don't know the exact date of their births ! As we muslims depend on another calender not the one used universally !
Secondly celebrating their birthdays is not a necessity or does not have any significance in Islam !

Christmas IS NOT THE BIRTH DAY OF JESUS. Do some research. Christmas is not on Islamic calendars because it is NOT a Muslim holiday. They do not celebrate the birthdays of any prophets that I am aware of, so why should Jesus be any different? Christmas is a pagan-based holiday; December 25 was originally to celebrate the SUN. Christians used it as a convenient time to celebrate the birth of Jesus even though they know it is not truly the day he was born. It was and still is a holiday of convenience.

We don't celebrate any Prophet's birthday (not even Muhamad pbuh..well we shouldnt) because A.) it's overglorification, which (evidently) has led many to even believe Jesus is God/son of God (big sin) B.) there would be way too many prophets to celbrate their birthday to make it fair for all of them (we shouldnt make a distinction between any) C.) we believe Jesus was born in Springtime not winter. D.) X-mas now a days is more about the gift than Jesus and is bas on pagan holiday (Yule tide or w/e). I do respect your nice invitation and cheery attitude so I will say...it was nice having you around Jesus and we await your second return! :) Even tho you can't see this Jesus lol

Muslims don't celebrate any birthday for that matter! We don't celebrate our own, nor do we celebrate Prophet Muhammad(PBUH). The celebrations of birthdays has nothing to do with Islam. Besides, who knows for sure when Jesus(PBUH) was born? Even many Christians deny that he was born on December 25th.

Well if 25Th of December is the birthday of Jesus (PBUH) of which I have seen no proof in the Islamic calender, I will put this question to a Islamic scholar and if that is true I will celebrate 25Th of December by keeping a fast on that day to celebrate Jesus (PBUH) birth.

Many Muslims will not even celebrate the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad, because they feel it is too much celebration of a human being. Muslims are very careful that their religious practices do not inadvertently turn into worship of anything or anyone other than God.

Some muslims don't even celebrate their own b-days. You are not celebrating Jesus'(pbuh) b-day, you are celebrating Saturnalia, a pagan holiday. We don't celebrate Muhammad's(pbuh) b-day. Have fun commemorating the Roman god of farming. Stephanie B, you beg to differ but have no proof, listening to evangelical drivel does not count as proof either.

Is Jesus a prophet in Islam? Yes. Was Jesus a prophet sent to the Muslims? No. Jesus was sent to his nation, the Israelites. Muhammad was sent to all nations. He was the prophet sent to us. That is why we celebrate his birthday, and not Jesus's.
Make no mistake, we revere and respect Jesus, and we believe he will return.
But Muslims also believe that Christianity have been corrupted, and facts about Jesus falsified, so we can't trust whether Christmas is Jesus's birthday.

First of All are you sure that jesus(pbuh) was born on 25th december??even christains have doubt about it...we love jesus and we love all prophets ..But just imagine we believe that there are hundreds of messangers before muhammad(pbuh)( 1,24000 messanger and prophets collectivly)and if we start celebarating their birthdays it would take us the whole year in that celeberations...No???
Well we love him even if we don't celeberat his birthday...we follow his teachings and yes Jesus(pbuh) is highlighted with great words in our quran.but doesn't make any difference if we don't celeberate his birthday like christains...and yes we have holiday on Muhammad(pbuh) birthday but that too is not celeberated like christmas infact we don't celebrate birthdays of prophets in that way...and in my country we have holiday on christmas too,
