I think u feel less confident in front of strangers... there is a a small possibility that u have a hearing problem...go check with a doctor ..if everything is fine..then try to be aware of ur voice level... and ask ur family to tell u when ever ur voice is too loud...ask a friend at a school to tell u when ur voice is too low...but the main effort must be done by u...u should try to be conscious about ur voice level.. after sometime u will b able to control it automatically. Am not worried about u being loud at home as much as am worried about u being shy ( or not being able to to speak loud enough) at school) that might give a false impression that u r weak... u have a little problem ..do not give too much weight...it is ok! i was shy at school and now: am the loudest in the class.

Maybe the people you are talking to have a hearing problem.
I used to get told the same thing growing up, Now I'm seen as a bitty for it. I wasn't ever bullied though.
Or maybe it's your ears that are throwing you off.
The louder it is around you the quieter you talk and the harder someone tries to listen to you. Kinda like when someone is whispering and theirs a hush in the room.
So, I wouldn't worry about it.
When your excited you get loud and when your relaxed your voice is calm.
