My boyfriend is an active paintball player. He has is regular gun, and all of his extra equipment. Because I don't know the specifics of this equipment, I am looking to buy him an additonal gun. I know he doesn't need a new paintball regulation paintball gun. I saw these 'pistol' guns on television. ['Law and Order' and 'CSI:'] I really want to get him him one of these. They basically look like a gun and shoot paintballs. He's mentioned that he wants to get one of these when he gets the chance. If I'm not mistaken, you can't use them in the actual games. I am NOT looking for what I believe are called airsoft guns [they shoot little pellets and have a red tip. He already has plenty of these] Any help towards this, such as what the guns are called/a good model, or even a good website is greatly appreciated. If it makes a difference, he is left-handed.

I really appreciate any help towards this. Thanks and Happy Holidays!

If you are looking for a paintball pistol, try the tiberius 8. I do not have one myself, but it got a pretty good review. Both the paintballs and a 12 gram co2 cartrige fit into the removable magazine. Its about $240.00 and spare mags are about $50.00.
If he is as into paintball as you say, I think he would like this one.

tippman A-5 is defiantly better if you plan on playing in the woods. tippmanns are the only guns you can take in the woods and not worry about breaking them. But just to clarify the A-5 and 98 are not M4 style guns, they are just made of metal and painted black. And no paintball gun can ever be a sniper. best you can do is hide in the woods untill people get close enough for you to cap em. The difference in distance between like a 4 foot long paintball gun and one thats a foot and a half is maybe only 30 to 40 feet. So you wont be hanging back picking people off, you'll just end up with a really bulky gun that you cant work around cover, and that means up close your gonna get ripped apart.

Alright first of all they are called scenario paintball markers. They are supposed to look like a real gun. One of the best companies for this is BT paintball design. They take already working Tippman guns and transform them into scenario paintball guns. It really depends on the Tournament weather or not they are allowed, pro tourneys like PSP and NPPL absolutly NOT! Those are speedball tourneys. I personally say that those types of guns are a HUGE waste of money, just get a speedball gun. But that is your choice. Anyways, I put a website that has BT guns, and a few other types of senario markers on the bottom of this. I am a seasoned paintball player, been playing for about 6 years, and I am on a paintball team. Also do not listen to those idiots that are answering, the guns they are listing are NOT the ones you are talking about. Trust me, anyways, hope this helped!

if you want to get him a good gun that will last and its great and looks good get a Smart Parts ION...its $199. But if you don't have that much money you can get a Spyder Sonix or Xtra..they cost about 60 to 80 dollars.
