I had initial problems with the beta, but not the production release. I think the two items I learned from the beta experience were:
1. Make sure the anti-spyware and AV are turned off during the installation process.
2. Have your machine in relatively good health and up to date before you begin. By good health, I mean you've run your scans and created backups.
There was an issue reported with the phishing filter, but not one I would describe as "freezing" the computer. It would make the browser run slower if you were looking at framed pages. Microsoft released a patch for that problem.

Firefox 2, because of the fact each and all the super upload ons I had with firefox 2 do no longer artwork with firefix 3. once you haven't any longer used firefox till now, you're able to deploy the two firefox 2 or 3. greater effective than ie7. Why.?? because of the fact that is not a microsoft product.

yes cannot stand IE7 not only does it have the problems you
speak of but File,Edit,View,Favs,Tools and Help disappear
get IE 6back here right hand corner
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie6/downloads/critical/ie6sp1/default.mspx
and don't forget SP2 either if IE is how you're headed.
I use both apps IE and Mozzilla Firefox for diffrerent reasons
netscape is all but obsolete and just think Vista coming out soon
only has IE7 so I am not getting it or want it,not beta but the real
Vista does not impress me at all

I bet you do not run windows XP either. Probably if you have like windows 95 or maybe 98, I might think you have problems. Just like if you have an old computer, you can not run the newer games and vice versa.

Yes I did with some of my software. (I did a restore to get rid of it). My isp software and my Paint Shop Pro had to be reinstalled. Perhaps after the bugs are worked out it might be better.

I've had it for 3 days now and not one problem....of course it takes some getting used to, with the subtle changes....of course it helps to read the instructions......BTW...it may also help if you have XP.
I love the magnification part...it's great for us old blind people.

I've ran it for 3 months now, and besides a couple minor glitches, it's ok.
