I ALWAYS use vinegar , plain vinegar , as soon as possible.....let it soak in ....don't get it in your eyes.....the longer you leave it on the better it works....avoid lotions and creams , and don't cover burned skin with clothing (covering a burn sinks the burn deeper into the skin ) I haven't peeled from a sunburn sense I started using vinegar !!!

The ozone layer is deteriorating to the point that just 3 severe sunburns can dramatically increase ones chances for skin cancer including malignant melanoma which kills. Use a great sun screen that blocks UVB and UVA rays look for zinc oxide as an ingredient. Never burn. Apply the sunscreen every twenty minutes. Stay out of the sun between 10am and 2pm. The skin peels due to sun damage. Please don't burn. Your life is more important than a tan. The tan in a can products are a lot better than in the past. Be there for your children.

I always hear the praises of Aloe Vera and Cocoa Butter.
As you know, the best thing to do is to try and not get sunburned in the first place!

sounds gross but I always apply sour cream to the burned areas and works great. Soothes the skin very well

canned milk...pour it straight on (not the sweetened condensed kind)
calomine lotion. (the pink stuff in the bottle...not Pepto)
Noxema (the skin LOTION, NOT the skin cleanser)
Cortaid (the topical steriod stuff...use the cream, NOT the gel)
cool showers, not hot ones...(hot ones will agravate the burn)

Use a moisturizer that has both
Aloe & Olive in it.
Kiss My Face is a good one.

ecurin cream. you can get the cheap walmart version for %80 less in price.
