Scooters, Mopeds, Segways, Twikes, Tricycles...friend lost his license (DUI) and needs to get around, what options are available to him? I see kids zooming around in things, what is the fastest and longest range personal transportation option available for him?

Depending on the state your in you can try and get a Employee operating permits but im pretty sure that you cant get one if your license was suspended for dui's or dwi's but its worth looking in to. Also depending on state laws for motorized bikes if its under 50cc you dont need a license to operated it and if it has a head light and tail light it should be street legal. Look into your states laws and see what options you may have.

Just about everything needs a license except a bicycle or taxi or bus. Or he could get a friend to haul him around

Scooters and mopeds are street legal and he needs a license.

Walk, biking and public transportation are his options.

anything that doesnt need a license, i think top speed is 30 mph but you can go as far as you want at that speed.
