I'm throwing a big new years party, I don't want anything fancy, just want to get a lot of it, and nothing too bad tasting! Any suggestions... also some good recipes for new years drinks with liquor/vodka? Thanks!!

See if you can find Cook's in the grocery store. It's right near the Andre but far better for cheap sparkling wine. I bought 3 cases of that for my wedding. It was only $4.00 a bottle, and everyone thought I spent $30! Even the wine snobs!

I go for all the cheapest wine at Asda and I've never had a bad bottle yet! I do like really expensive wine now and again, but when I find a really good cheap wine I tend to stock up, both red and white. I don't know why the prices can vary from 3 to 12 pounds?

For "ex dirty stripper" Domain Chandon doesn't make White Star, that would be Moet Chandon. Domain Chandon makes 3 good champagnes, one being the Brut Classic (too much chardonnay grape), Blanc de noirs (smoother), and Riche (even smoother). They have others also, but these are quite popular.

Generally there is no such thing as a good-tasting champagne people only drink it to be ostentatious. Buy some sparkling wine, it's cheaper and 9 times out of 10 it will taste better as well.

Cook's Brut is the best bet for cheap and still good tasting. It ranges from $3.50 to $6 per bottle depending on where you get it and if it's on sale. Look around to find the best price.

Do you want to be cheap and just have any old cr@p listen to these people. If not, get some Domain Chandon "White Star". $35..... extremely worth it....
