In mexico most of the people say nerd for nerd. Believe me, I have lived so many years in Mexico and this word is not translated.
And lousy, you say Mediocre. for instance hizo un trabajo mediocre, o es un cocinero mediocre.
And for cool, it's said padre or chido, both are accepted.

The word I learned for "nerd" is "ñoño" or "ñoña" for a girl.
I believe the currently "in" expression for "cool" is "chido/a", as in "¡Qué chido!" (How cool!). Before that it was "Qué padre!"
I'll let someone else handle "lousy"... lol. All I could give you would be the "dictionary" definition which would be either "malÃsimo" (really bad) or "pésimo" (worthless).

Nerk or geek is naco for a male or naca for a female. Pronounced nah-ko or nah-kuh.
I have no idea for lousy. Mal means bad.
Chido is cool. Sounds kind of like cheeto - like the snack.
Hope this helps a little.

Hola Troy, here you go:
*Nerd: In México we use the same expression: "nerd" but also you can use "cerebrito" (brainy).
*Lousy: the closest thing will be "malo", él hizo un mal trabajo.
*cool: the right word for this one is "padre" it is spelled like father, but it means cool too, like; "¡qué padre está eso!"
un saludo y felices fiestas!â
