to put under the tree we had to lift the tree to make room inder it!
How do you know when you have too many presents, no I m not in debt, I have bought gifts during the whole 2006 year!
Btw, my 2 year old probably has over 35 gifts, mostly clothes!

it depends... if you have 35 presents all in clothes it probably cost you less you than an ipod nano that parents might have bought their child! so don't worry.... are you afraid of spoiling your child?

There are never to many presents. If you feel comfortable in your gift giving spirit then don't stress about it. My daughter has about 20 presents under my tree alone.
The only reason I would not buy to many for someone is if I got the present I bought them the next year.lol
It just sound like your the Christmas loving type to me.

Merry Christmas, and Happy New Year.

2 posts about the same subject, just out of curiosity are you trying to brag about how much you have??

I personally think buying a 2 year old 35 gifts and most of them clothing is crazy, first of all, a 2 year old would probably be just as happy with a box and a bow even if the box was empty, second, as fast as kids grow, I sure hope you bought different sizes, or the 2 yr old won't even get to wear some of the items.

And finally if you have to lift the tree to fit more gifts under it, then common sense says TOO MUCH!!

But anyway, enjoy your holiday and I sincerely hope the 2 year old has a blast!! (especially with the bright papers and bows:-)

Christmas is more than gifts...material gifts that is. Think about something else next year, like an emotional or otherwise physical, yet not store-bought, gift. Also, typically one gift will suffice for most people. No more than five I would think, and only that many if you've been giving out IOU's for a few years! Remember the benefits of not overspending...lack of storage can sap the joy out of any gift-giving holiday!

lol..I find it so easy to go over board on gifts too..everything has to be perfect for who ever I'm buying for. When kids come into the picture, well..it is open season on spending!

if you are not in debt over it..and you are happy with what you bought..why worry about it?..

Just make sure it is not all about what you spent..but all about love for each other. :-)

I say that you know you have too many presents when you have more than one present per person by person.
