I use KIS(kaspersky Internet suite) there is also KAV
(kaspersky anti virus) after being let down by Zone Alarm Pro
it works for me,If in the end I am not happy with KIS
Trend Micro would be my next stop. CA(computer associates)
I hear are good too as symantec(Norton) cut my clock speed
in half as well as bandwidth(DSL).KIS is a worldwide distributor
as well but get a spyware program too such as
SUPERAntiSpyware both KIS and the spyware have free
versions, actually KIS has a 30 day trial you can check it out
to see if you like it and the spyware version is free,as with most
free things updates can only be had manually which is why
I use paid versions of software, yes it can get pricy but less than
a new machine for sure

If a hammer doesn't work, then use a preventative measure (Spy-Bot) on a new computer you are going to go out and buy right now. And in the future, stop allowing pop-ups, and don't visit porn or internet gambling sites.
Choose your language from the website listed below, download the free software I swear by, and start to protect your computer from viruses by blocking their path in. Simple solution.

Norton is not a god antivirus app right now, there are quite a few virus that target it. The best antivirus scanner in the world, in my opinion, is Avira. You can check it out here : http://www.avira.com/
They also have a free version that you can use to check out how effective it is.
