I'm looking to get back in shape after several years of no exercize or sports. I want to get into aerobic and anaerobic shape, but I don't wanna spend more than 30-45 minutes a day, three or four days a week. I don't particularly like weights, but I do want to build my muscles. I really enjoy sports though, but it's hard to play team sports more than once a week with my schedule. I don't mind jogging or running or cycling, but doing just one over and over again I find tedious. Any suggestions?

I lost 105 pounds in 6 months. Here is how I did it.
1. Every morning get up and walk for 45 minutes. You can start with less time, but you want to get up to 45 minutes, and it must be fast walk. You want your heart rate to go up. It must be in the morning, it kick starts your metabolism.
2. I cut out Red Meat, and fatty foods. Boneless skinnless chicken breast, baked, or grilled, rice and vegetables (steamed).
3. Eat half. Just eat half of what you normally eat. Put 1/2 on your plate, and put the rest away. Cook less. When you go to fast food, get salads only. Or grilled chicken. No fries, only diet soda. Or water.

It will work, once you get into a routine, you will get hooked on the results, and you will keep the routine. It has been over a year for me.

Stay motivated, and get up and walk every day. I seriously lost all my weight starting off my day on my walk.

Good LUCK!

Weights have good benefits, particularly to build muscle. if done right and they can grow on you but if you don't like it your best bet is to find something you do like. Personally I like boxing, wrestling, juijitsu and things like that which only take two people so they can fit schedules easier. Other examples are tennis, racketball, and basketball. If you like running, biking or swimming do that as often as you enjoy that. If you can find a team sport that fits your schedule do it. Hope that helps because the benefits of excercise are well worth it, especially if you enjoy what you are doing. Good luck.

I would try doing some walking. It's good exercise if you keep a moderate to vigorous pace. Find new places to walk to keep it interesting. Parks, trails, back roads, etc. It's better to start with this because it won't burn you out, then you can get into other things once you're alittle more in shape.
