Nope! I'm thinking that whoever decides to be big and bold in front of the boss by drinking, then driving...will look a whole lot worse.
...Even if it's the boss, herself.
Remember - you're a human being with a life, before you are a person with a job!

stick to your guns on this one- no drinking and driving
Did you know that people that drink socially make a few percentage points more in avarage salary than those that don't- I guess social skills do count for something at work.
Can you get someone to pick you up? take a bus? stay overnight? talk to you boss and ask if anyone has volunteered to be a designated driver- you could volunteer if nobody else has. Your boss would be a fool to ignore this very reasonable request.
Or the other thing is, drive yourself and go late- stop at the bar on your way in and place your drink order where none of them can hear what you order. Many times I have walked around with water with an olive or slice of lemon in it, or tomato juice with a celery stalk. Nobody will say a word. After the first one, drink soft drinks.
Okay, there are a few strategies for you think think about and modify to suit your own style. Now go have a good time!! CHEERS!!!

No, you will not look lame. Just be perky and join in the conversations. Or, if you do want a drink, have the cab company programmed in your cell phone, or tell the staff at the restaurant or bar that you need a cab. They're always happy to do that, less liability for them.
That's the best way. We would never risk drinking and driving.

Pretty much everybody is going to tell you that it's perfectly okay to go and not drink...and they are all right. If you worked with me and told me you were going and I planned to drink a little I might ask you to give me a ride. And if you hook a few people up with rides you might save a life or at least keep someone from getting arrested. Go to the party...Stand up for who you are...And enjoy that Virgin Margarita...Hey, I'm buying.....thank you

Get there a bit early. Order your virgin frozen concoction. Upon ordering subsequent rounds, tell the bartender you will have another margarita made the same as the last. Ancient Chinese business trick.

Yeah, they tried to such me into this on several occasions. It was for a quarterly award . I refuse to drink and drive also.
I opted not to even attend. I have to admit your way would have probably ruffled a lot less feathers.
So the answer is yes, go and order virgin drinks.

because of the fact if human beings tried to get unfastened beverages in a a million hour variety, it may well be packed as hell and could be impossible to get into the resturant/bar. so as that they supply it 3 hours reason human beings have a extra constructive risk of entering into then. they in basic terms call it "happy hour" reason it sounds extra constructive than "happy 3 hours."

Of course not - It would be lame if you did not join in and be a part of a group outing. Go and have fun!

Don't worry about looking lame. Your safety is definately more important. Maybe you could offer to be the designated driver.
