Depends on the person...you cant really say all christians are thinking "f-you".
The few times I do say it I mean it. Not meaning to condescend but to encourage.
Of course some ppl ARE just pricks and say that to be caddy.
In any case just take it at face value - as a blessing or well wish.

Well, if it's said condescendingly ...then that's what it is. Simply a condescending answer. It really bothers me too. But some actually do pray for you. In fact how about I pray for you just to have a wonderful and blessed Christmas. Not because I'm talking down on you, just because I honestly want that for you. Take care!

Christians are supposed to love and pray for even those people that represent what they hate, or they think they hate. Because prayer changes our relationship to that individual, and we find out that we have more in common with them than we think. Yes, they would sit and as you call it 'waste" their time praying for you.
As to why hasn't it worked yet? Well, the one thing God the giver of Life does NOT do is take slaves. He never interferes in free will. What they are praying for, in essence, is that God speak within you in whatever way he knows is right for you, and that you be given a choice based upon that knowledge.

When I say I'm going to pray for someone, I do. Maybe some people are condescending when they say they will pray for people, but I've always thought saying that meant that I care enough about someone to go and ask God to help them out. Also, I noticed you said something to the effect that God hasn't answered their prayers yet. God always answers prayers, and he answers them in one of three ways: yes, no, or not right now. Maybe it won't always be the answer you're looking for, but he does answer them.

When I say I'll pray for you, then I will do just that. There's no hidden meaning. I believe in the power of prayer. God answers all prayers according to His will. Maybe you are just not ready to receive Him yet.
God Bless you and Merry Christmas.

In 325 ad The Christian church council form all over the world . It marks the definite entry upon the stage of human affiars of the Christian Church and of Christianity as it is generally understood in the world today. It marks the exact definittion of Christian teaching by the Nicene Creed which followed the concept of the Trinity that the father son and the holy ghost were 3 distict persons but, but one god One must realize that the profound diffrences between fuly devolped Christianity of Nicene Creed and the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. The teaching of jesus was prophetic of the type that began with the hebrew prophets. It was not priestly, it has no consecrated temple no alter no rites and ceremonies. Its sacrifice was a broken and contrite heart." Its only organization was preachers, and its chief function was the sermon. But the Christianity of the 4th century though it preserved the teaching of the gospels was a mainly priestly religion of a type familiar to world for thousands of years

well if your real name/personality is anything like your avatar name then they are probably saying "I will pray for you. I will ask GOD to help you find self respect and to treat yourself like a lady instead of opening yourself up to that kind of image."
We Christians are not out to harm anyone. When we say we will pray for you it is our way of saying that we really want you/anyone to find the peace we have found. We are NOT better than anyone...but we are better off, only because we finally realized how much we needed a savior. Shalom.

Yes, it is an insult _and_ a wish for ill to fall upon you. They hope you burn in hell -or- "change your mind" which is an insult to your intelligence.
"Moral christian" is at best a coincidence (if not a contradiction), and is definitely not a redundancy. As the saying goes:
"A Humanist or an Athiest can't tell you to go to hell, but a Christian can and will."

They are making a judgement that there is something wrong that need their special prayer. Actually, sometimes I wish that they could drop kick the prayers and just give kindness and respect.

That means I will pray for you. No condemnation is ever meant by me saying it. I will pray for you and that is it. I am quite serious about it. I pray that you will be saved and that you will become a Christian. It is my sincerest request. God Bless You!!
I also notice that no one has been condescending to you in this question when they say they are going to pray for you. The only ones I have noticed so far that has been condescending is the ones who don't believe in God.
