Trouble is they didn't know we lived on a planet at that time.

Do you think it would help? Lets add it in and see!

There are a countless number - greater than 200,000 or maybe many more than that - changes, alterations, additions, insertions, missing words, and scrambled sentences in the existing editions of the Bible - that's more than all the words of the whole New Testament. These errors came from scribes who were the only copyists for 1400 years (until the printing press) , and before them, from the few people who could write (< 15 % of the population at best) who were the only ones to write anything down. When someone was copying something & they disagreed with what it said, they changed it. If they wanted to pass off their opinion as coming from the mouth of someone of authority, they just wrote in the words. This was a common practice in a time when noone had ever heard of copyright law. Paul himself complained bitterly about his letters being miscopied & "errors" being spread .

So, as far as your question goes, there is no way to know that your suggestion wasn't in there and then later deleted or lost, because there are no existing primary texts to work from, only copies of copies of copies, hundreds of years after the actual events.

Interesting question.

Peace on Earth, Goodwill to all!

Yeah, there should have.

But it's so much easier to listen to everyone who thinks god will destroy the earth before humans because then we can just keep indulging ourselves in all our stupid wasteful junk and habits that we can't live without. What a poor excuse for the disaster we've turned our planet into: "Well, we just thought we'd get a head start on what god's going to finish off eventually." God is not going to "save" us a few days before all our oil runs out 50 years from now. We are going to destroy ourselves because we've destroyed our planet.

Have you seen the Internet-famous 'End of the World' flash video yet? Funny stuff. Here's the link:

Most definitely, but I think we've got Al Gore for that these days, lol.

On a more serious note, the Bible I believe makes many references about being a good steward. We've just not paid attention and will suffer for it accordingly. So, we need to keep Al Gore busy if people won't/don't/can't get the message from the Bible directly.

I believe there is something like that. Man was given dominion over the plants and animals and told to care tfor them.
Then God said, "Let Us make man in Our image, and according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth." Genesis 1:26. We just don't listen to Him. Someday He will take care of it for us. It will probably not be to our liking either.

The bible does say that. You just don't know it though. People only read out of the bible what they think will satisfy there own beliefes. The bible is a manual for living life on earth. It even tells you when and what to do to live, but we don't read so we will only know when it is too late.

Most of the religious gospels of that time were lost, of the ones that were left, gospels that were seen as best fit for a new Christian Bible were included. Who knows what kind of other stuff existed.
