Actually Jesus would tell you that he will pray to the father for your healing. Jesus(by himself) did not heal anyone in the old testament, he used his father's powers to heal others, and he gave the Father credit. The original Hebrew texts confirms that statement. However, English translations lead to your premise, that is that Jesus was doing the healing (alone).
Why should God heal you? Why should God heal anyone? God is not a circus act. He gives us more than earthly healing. He gives us a way to escape death after our stay here on Earth.
Proof: Well God's proof is not intrusive or a public demonstration.
God's proof is personal. A person can never prove God to another person. However, a person can easily prove the Existence of God by inviting the Holy Spirit into his life.
enough said? I am sure you get my point.

Jesus can heal you by a miracle. Jesus can also heal you through doctors and in hospitals. Some fall asleep in their critical illneses because they chose to be home with Jesus. Death is also victory for Christians because their spirits and souls are set free from their weak earthly bodies and as the Apostle Paul had said it is better to be with Jesus than here on earth. A Christain wins whether by healing or death.

Yes of course! He is the Great Physician..... but sometimes Jesus does not heal all ailments, so we can best appreciate health, suffering, and care for others too ..... and it maybe GODS destiny for them in this earth.... so their lives can be used also by God, as examples, depending on how they have used these sufferings, there are many Christian Hospitals because Jesus also gave humans the power & intelligence to carry on His work , thats why there are people in the medical profession.... Doctors, Nurses, Midwives, Medtechs and other paramedical services.to provide care, healing, counselling and used by God as His intruments on this earth. Peace God bless, Merry Christmas!

One of Jesus's names is the Great Physician. He healed everyone He came in contact with that was sick in His day. Just because He is in Heaven now doesn't mean He is not healing people. But you must come to Him in Faith believing and remain in Faith and not doubt ever to be healed and remain healed once your are healed. Remember there is a devil and He doesn't want people to be healed and especially Christians for He hates them.
Don't take his side lest you become like him.

This is a sensitive topic. You do make your own life, and this applies to areas of health, but nobody likes the idea that their faith may not be strong enough to heal.--------people choose illness for many reasons, but the point is, it is the belief in health that brings healing.------Xenu the Hutt, a belief loses power as one becomes less convinced of it.(but you already knew this). And you already know the answer to your second question.(the spoken questions of one, are the unspoken questions of many.)

When I was young I laid hands on my mother's broken ribs in the name of Jesus & they were healed instantly. I don't know if it was the name of Jesus. I do however believe in the universal energy & I know it worked because it did not even occur to me that it wouldn't. i just knew she would be healed. Surprisingly, even with several such events in my childhood, as an adult, fear & doubt always get in the way of everything I do.

God can do anything, and so He can heal someone, but the real question is does God heal people today? The answer to that is "No" not as a general rule. We live in the age of faith not sight. Jesus said evil and adulteress people seek for signs, and no signs will be given. Of course what I have said here is easy to disprove, you just have to be healed.

It is established that the placebo effect is real. Belief in Jesus or other forms of belief can have healing properties.
Where/when does belief lose its power? Can a strong/powerful enough belief accomplish "miracles"? Move mountains?

yes.
Every university almost (90 something %) and almost every hospital was founded by Chrisitans.
Bible never speaks against medical care.....in fact it favors it. You can believe for divine healing, but G-d gives you wisdom to use. You must use it to choose how you will be healed.
If you dont have faith to be healed of a headache, dont expect to be healed of cancer.
