Technology For Everyone Term Paper?
ok, ive been assigned a 3-5 page paper to write for my college Intro to Information Technology Course. I've been doing a lot of research but would like to ask the real people out there what kind of technology you like when it comes to these groups
A: infants and children B: Teens C: young adults (20-35) D: Adults (35-65) and E: the OLDER generation(65+) . Please provide links if you have them and why you like these products. I would really appreciate your help!

A.) Temporal Thermometers! http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.gsp?product_id=3936091
It's unbelievable how great these things are! WAY more accurate that any other thermometer I've used (for babies OR adults).

When my son's been sick, this has literally been a lifesaver. (When you can tell in 3 seconds that his fever is over 105, that's lifesaving!)

B.) ... Harder to say, as I really don't have much contact with a lot of teens anymore. I know this generation of them is pretty much hardwired into the Web, which has good & bad sides. Like my generation, many of them are avid gamers... Unfortunately, today, games seem to be about flashy graphics and not much else. Half the games I see are so full of bugs as to be nearly unplayable. 15 years ago, they couldn't have been released in such a state. Today, it's taken for granted that you will have to download the patch. (In my day, a patch was an addition to a game, not a band-aid.)

C.) Online classes! I think online college classes are great! It makes it possible to work towards your degree while still paying the rent (ie: holding down your day job).

D.) (Really not a lot of diff for these two groups, except C is somewhat more tech-savy. D is too broad -- the cut-off should be in the 50's, simply because of the dates involved.) The internet makes so much easier... What are the lyrics to that song? Who the heck was Ambrose Bearce, again? Can I write this off as a business expense? Which washing machine has the least record of breakdowns? All of it's at your fingertips. Just Google....

E.) Again, the internet. From email to keep them in touch with their families to online shopping (including grocery shopping -- http://shop.safeway.com/register/?kc=False), the internet serves as a way for older folks to stay in the world, even if they are seldom able to leave their house. I've met a surprising number of septegenarians who can't figure out how to hook up a DVD player, but can sure show you their grandkids latest onlne snapshots!

Hi m- You can write a great paper and have a fun and interesting powerpoint presentation that everyone can enjoy if you use the topic of the "History of Aviation Technology." Go get the DVD "Those Magnificent Men In Their Flying Machines." Some of these images are funny and informative, and you can use them in your presentation. Also, get the book "Future Flight," by Bill Siuru and John Busick. It has interesting information on Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Commercial and Military aircraft. In your paper and presentation, take your audience from the past to the future technology. I guarantee it will be fun and be a subject of discussion.
