I have an 8 week old pug and i noticed after a while she would shake for 5 to 10 seconds or until i gently shook her to wake her up. They are not like little dreams, she would be in a deep sleep and then her whole body would shake alot and i noticed her eyes shook with it until i woke her which is hard when she is shaking uncontrolably like this.

When puppies twitch in their sleep, it is caused by their muscles and nerves developing and growing. The nerves will fire in the muscles causing the twitch. It is normal, and all puppies do it. It is not a seizure, especially because it sounds like when you wake her up it stops (you cannot stop a seizure without sedative drugs). If you are really concerned call the vet when they are open.

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://biturl.im/aU7X1

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

I used to have a dog that did the same thing and took her to the vet. The vet said she was just dreaming and not to worry. If she's a small dog or on the thin side you may want to give her some nice fluffy bedding and maybe even cover her at night too. That's just in case she might be cold.

I think is kinda normal when a puppy or a dog shake. Is a sign, mean they're cold. But if your not sure about it, you could always bring it to the veterinarian.

simple answers. it's either cold or..... from my personal experience; dogs are really like humans, so that when a human gets tired you react in your dreams. so the puppy does the same things since it gets tired during the day, it will reflect at night/dreams. dont worry there is nothing to worry about, mine does the same thing! LOL its really funny rite?

my puppy does the same thing, he'll have some mild shaking and twitching going on while he's asleep. She's probably just dreaming, it's nothing to worry about.

It sounds like dreaming...dogs are all different in this respect. However, you would be best served by taking her to a vet, just to be sure there isn't an underlying problem. Good luck with her.

My husky mix does something similar while he is in a deep sleep/dreaming. He moves his paws a little as if he is running, makes little "woofs", and even howled one time. It's cute, and absolutely normal for dogs to do. Don't worry too much

Both of my dogs do that. They even bark or whine in their sleep. They are just having an active dream. If you are not so sure, then take your baby to the vet.

She's probably having a nightmare or she's just dreaming. Like chasing cats, it's absolutely normal.
