I've got many questions but somehow they just keep getting deleted. Maybe after the cranky crowd goes to bed, I'll ask them then.

(1 Timothy 5:8) . . .Certainly if anyone does not provide for those who are his own, and especially for those who are members of his household, he has disowned the faith and is worse than a person without faith.

You need to take care of yourself before you can help others.

I have lived without lights in places over seas for long periods of time so do not take this wrong but the truth is for us today we are to give what we can give joyfully. That is your guidline.

The thith rule is OT and appropriated for the purpose of supporting the descendants of Levite who was not awared much land and was to maintain the priesthood.

Even then people took out their seed for next year and food b4 they figured in the 10% rule. Therefor if you need electricity to get to work that is your seed money. One deducts his living expenses first and gives 10% of what is above that. People are gonna tell you different but what do you think their motivation might be. If you read your Bible you would find out these truthes for yourself, like I did. It's fun once you get started.

Just the same the rule for today is give what you can joyfully. This does not limit you to only 10%. My guess is if you gave up electricity to promote what you believed would promote a cause Jesus approved of (not likely building a church Gym fits into those parameters) then you would blessed beyond your wildest dreams, I know I was.

Pay your bills first, you are the only one paying your bills, the churches have many to pay the bills.

its not about the church, its to do with the Law of Tithing. If you pay your tithing then you will be blessed. As its says in the scriptures, if you pay your tithing the windows of heaven will be open upon you, and you shall receive more blessings that you can imagine.

Your churches. It is written in Matthew 6:25-34 NIV. Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. That's including your light bill check!

John 15:7NIV...Jesus said "if you remain in me and my words remain in you, ASK WHATEVER you wish, and it will be given to you." Our God is not a liar god. What ever He said will be done!
BLESS GOD!

Pay G-d 1st. If you are tithing, you will be blessed. If you really are tithing, light bills will never be an issue. Only if you are not will bills be an issue.
