Well, if you don't do this already, make sure you clean your face with face wash at least twice a day. In the morning & before you go to bed at night. Make sure you don't over wash because then it might dry out your skin. Also when drying your face, make sure you pat, don't rub because that only irritates the acne & the skin itself. By the way do not buy pro active my friend used it & not one zit or pimple disappeared. It is a rip off, or at least in her case.

I know what you mean- proactive is just a rip off I think. I haven't met any one it worked on (I know people who do not have acne problems who use it, but they don't count ;] ) But anyway, if you are talking acne, like red oily patches with little bumps- go to a dermatoligist. If it's just random evil pimples try crushing up an Advil and add a drop or so of water until it is a paste- then dot it on the troubled spot. It'll dry that sucka up.

there are no miracles cures for acne-- it is a cause of many things- the main one being what you put IN your body--- the foods you eat should be "alive" like fresh veggies and fruits whenever possible- try to cut Way back on sugar and processed foods- cut back on meat but you do not have to eliminate it all together--- try acidophilus supplements (available at healthfood stores and walmart). this puts the Good bacteria back in the body to combat the bad. drink a lot of water not soda or sugary drinks- so , your environment can cause pimples too. if to humid it can cause an oil slick and clogged pores- and cold can dry skin to much- pollution-etc.. your never to young to use a good moisturizer(oil free is good) try to get one without parabens- these cause cancer and are in almost everything you use on the body. www.ewg.org is a good web site to check a product for safety-we have gotten away from nutrition and lean more towards satisfaction of the taste buds- learn to eat healthier and you will see an improvement in your skin-the choice is yours and it won't happen over night- sometimes you see a increase in pimples when you start because the body is getting rid of the bad stuff via your largest organ -the skin.

First if you have tried proactive, maybe the reason that it didn't work is because you did not give it enough time it takes at least 3 months to REALLY begin to work.
Secondly you should start taking a multi vitamin.

Tea Tree! Either go to your nearest The Body Shop or go to the website and look up Tea Tree. If you use a simple three step regime Cleanse, Tone, Moisturize you will be set. I would also throw in a Tea Tree face Scrub to clean out your pores. This stuff is amazing and reall works. They can tell you all about it in the store.

Change your diet. Cut out dairy, sugar, and anything that contains them. Drink lots of water, and wash your face before going to bed. If it's really bad, your health insurance may cover a trip to the dermatologist (if not, you can make a regular dr appt to discuss your skin problems).
Good luck.

I've had had acne for about 7 years..finally I went to a doctor and I got isotretinoin prescribed, it's magic! It has it's side effects but it's worth it!
