what would one throw away, the love? since this is a very vauge question it makes it harder to answer

It seems as though I already did. I have been in love with the same guy since 8th grade. I am 27 now. We have always been on again off again. I thought I would spend some time getting my life together. When I got my life in order I came back into his life only to find he has a girlfriend who is about to have his baby. I lost the greatest love of my life.
