Will you go home for the holidays this christmas? Or does your family live to far away?

I'm a truck driver. My plans were to head out west through the desert as to avoid all the holiday traffic. But then my sister called and invited me to join them for the holiday in Atlanta, Ga. I felt like time spent with family was more important than the $1200 I would have otherwise earned on my trip across the desert. With the uncertainties of life ,there may not be another chance to enjoy time spent with a loved one. Besides, my sister is a great cook!
So now, here I sit in Atlanta. My sister and her family have gone to bed, so now I get to spend time with all my friends here on Y/A
Best wishes.

I live at home (I'm 21) and we have both side over on Christmas Eve and then on Christmas Day. I have to work 3-midnight on Christmas Day though.

All of my family, except for my son Joe, lives in Los Angeles around me, but he's here, too. Yeah, I spent it with them. We celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve, and on Chirstmas Day, we visit friends or other relatives, like in-laws. Right now, my grandkids are sleeping and my sons, except for Joe, who's crashing here, just left.

my family lives in the same city as me and it's tradition to spend it at my mother's house and talk to the ones that live out of town on the phone.
