It can mean love is new, and maybe the person it is being said TO is coming on a little strong. Or, sometimes you just have warm-n-fuzzy feelings that are love, but not the until-you-die-I'd-do-anything-for-you love. Sometimes that comes later; on the other hand, some people don't feel like waiting for it, and would rather move on to a new person to look for it.

Hmm, that's a doozy. I would say it means one of 4 answers.
1. He loves the things you do"meaning someone else is filling your shoes in your name".Sort of like a filler or a replacement until he knows for sure.
2.You remind him of someone he knew and cared for"thus ,he's in love with someone else who is with him in your name".
3.He is not interested in long term relationship at this time.
4.He can possibly feel suffocated by you and overwhelmed at times is another good answer.

It means something along the lines of...."I love you like a sister/brother, but I don't love you like a wife/husband"

In other words, it would be said by someone who just wants to remain friends.

It means your partner does not love you like he wants you anymore. He doesent want you anymore for whatever reason. He still loves you as a friend though. Ive felt the same thign. My girlfriend has broken up with me before and basically said that to me. She keeps coming abck to me though. She says she loves me but she doesent know if she wants me. I was about ready to leave her, for good. Being treated like crap sucks. But she finally started acting like a real girlfriend should. So, I stayed with her. Now i dont know what the future holds. Keep looking for a guy who knows they want you. DOnt stay with this guy. its not worth the pain. Trust me. Good Luck.

Per Jeff Foxworthy from "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" "It doesn't mean they're riding a new horse, but the saddle is out of the barn".

there is a difference. i've said this before myself a few times. you have feelings for someone, but not those feelings that it takes to give oneself over totally to another. you care about them, etc. but not truly in love with that person, meaning who they are what they are what they represent, etc. in other words you can't be there for them the way they and you would like for them to be

Love you is when you deeply care about someone like a friend or a brother or sister.
In love is when you deeply care about someone on a romantic/sexual level as well.
