It doesn't matter which you use. It all depends on your committment to brushing morning and night. As long as you use a brush with bristles which are not too hard as they will wear away enamel. Avoid brushing hard across the grain of your teeth. Brush gently and 'thoroughly' for at least 2-3 mins. Use a dental floss.

I used a regular toothbrush until I was 16... my dentist gave it to me because I had braces. The electric toothbrush is a lot more expensive because you have to buy the new heads every once in a while. I still brushed my teeth the same way. So really, it wasn't worth it. Plain toothbrushes work just the same as electric ones.

Well, dentists say that the electronic ones work better. I used one for a while but to tell you the truth I like just a regular tooth brush wayy better. I feel like it cleans my teeth better.

i have noticed that the eletric toothbrush tends to impact the gums more then the manual one. dentist recommend using soft brushes in certain strokes and the electric tooth brush might be too harsh ..
as for heads for the electric always buy them from ebay.com as you can get cheaper

I'm a dentist.

Whichever one will compel you to brush your teeth more regularly.

If it doesn't make a difference to you, then use an electric.
