He did not fake his death.
He was the student of a very powerful Buddhist master. As Jesus lay dieing the master came to him and took him back to the monastery and healed him. There was noting fake about it. Jesus could not help how these events were reported and written down. Nor could he help the fact that these misconceptions about his death were included in the bible.
