I tried a different brand of flour and I could taste a differance is there a another brand you recommend?

Depends on what you're baking. King Arthur makes several different types of flour--so does Gold Medal, etc. etc. You do need to tailor your flour to your recipe. Regular unbleached flour works well in many, many recipes, at a fraction of the cost of King Arthur. But it's not whole wheat flour, so if that is what you want it will narrow your choices somewhat. You might check into mills in your region to see if there is flour being produced in your area or state.

Nope...flour is flour. There is only a difference with "cake flour" specificially. You cannot substitute regular flour for cake flour.

Just because the brand names are different, does not mean the product is different. Gold Medal is the most popular and it works great for everything.
