Most important part is to apply. In the U.S. I think you pretty much have to live in a hub city. That means that if you want to work for Continental you should be in Houston (I think). American is in Dallas. They each have a hub city as their base of operations. I think the most important part going in is that you are personable. They will teach you the rest. If you don't make it with one of the majors try going with a smaller regional carrier until you get some experience and are in the industry. If that does not work you could try getting a different position with the airline and then once your "in" for a while apply from within. You could be a desk agent for a while or something like that.

Practise spilling coffee over the place and look, walk & talk artificial. Also u need a lot of practice to push hand carts.
