I have notice that some people to it for all the wrong reasons and it's nothing but a fad to them. And I have seen some couples that really love and care for each other, but it's really said when you see the fad more than try love.

It's always easy for one to say "way do people still get mad over that", and the answer is "You have to be that person or persons to understand.

I dont think people generally get upset when a black athlete is with a white or non black woman, and thats because they have come to expect it! Sad but true, because they we as well as they know, that most of them are in these interracial relationships for the wrong reason. As she said in her above post, a lot of times they feel like it is a status symbol to have a non black woman on their arm. It is the "forbidden fruit" theory that unfortunately pervades many black men because of self hatred. They forget, that this white woman would not have been with them when they were struggling, when they weren't rich, no.That was a black woman, and I have to say I really dont understand why black women in general are so loyal to black women. But I guess some people might conceive that as being a good thing, that we are so loyal. N E Wayz, these athletes, not all, but most who are interracial relationships forget that these white women wouldn't have given them a second look if they weren't rich, and would leave them if the money left. People just don't generally respect these types of relationships. No one likes a golddigger and her fool.

I think the reason that people still get mad when a black guy hooks up with a non-black female is because they're mad that they can't get with that type of female. They don't want to see any one else with something that they can't get, especially a black man. The reason that some black women get mad is because we as black females are good enough when the black athlete has nothing, but when he comes up, he drops the black girl for some bimbo, because she's considered forbidden fruit. I'm speaking from both sides.
