Just made a homemade blueberry pie for christmas, and I've got about a cup of filling left. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do with this filling besides filling up my trash can?

Put it on your pancakes or waffles tommorrow. Or go buy some puff paste(freezer section) and put the filling between the puff pastry and cook. Sprinkle a little sugar on top, make sure you use egg wash to make pretty. Get a muffin mix and put a dab in the middle of some muffins. Little muffin mix, filling, some more muffin mix. Put on toast. Make some thumbprint cookies and put on the top. Buy some sugar cookie dough and make little cups. Fill the cups with filling after cooking or before. etc.

Uses For Blueberry Pie Filling

Heat it and pour it over ice cream. Do you make cheese cake? That is just about enough for topping. It would also make a nice filling between layers of a white cake.
But until you get to use it. Pour it in a freezer bag, pop it into the freezer. It'll keep at least six months.

I have heated this with a bit of lemon to make a blueberry compote for turkey.
It's a nice change and yummy.

I know this will sound strange but my mother used to make an incredibly delicious meat loaf with a blueberry glaze baked onto... think about how a ham is glazed with honey, etc.

I think I've just talked myself into what to make for New Year's. Thanks. MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY NEW YEAR.
