The story is that Aaron dictated and Moses wrote it down, but that Aaron had a lisp and so in a lot of places it's kind of hard to follow cause of all the th's where there are supposed to be s's. Then later they tried to correct it by writing a new version, and also write it in more vernacular style.
The only problem with that was, they started trying to correct words that didn't need to be corrected, and in some cases thought Aaron had other speech impediments too.
But he only had a lisp, and that was it.
Then another version came along that tried to correct those mistakes, and also tried to correct seeming contradictrions; but made mistakes of another sort, and on and on.
Now we have over nine versions. My question is this: Is the situation still confused, and is there one version of the Bible that is generally agreed upon by scholars? And have the contradictions been resolved?
Finally, did Aaron's one simple speech impediment really lead to all this??

I must retract the question; it was Moses who had the lisp, not only that he walked funny, plus he was a queer.

Moses said I am not eloquent of speech trying to talk God out of sending him to Pharaoh. God said take Aaron with you then. Moses is responsible for the first five books in the Bible called the Pentateuch. The Bible has 38 authors and was written over 1500 years. These people were from different backgrounds and times and managed to present the same viewpoint without ever knowing each other. Sure there are versions that have slightly different wording but no one has a Bible with different meanings and content.

LMAO!
Whoever told you all that was really jerking your chain, kiddo!
Aaron's lisp!? Because there's a lot of "cometh" and "goeth", right?
News flash, my friend. The Old and New Testament were written by a lot of people whose "Testaments", or written witness, are what make the Bible!
You don't have just nine versions, you have a lot more.
There isn't any single "one true version", at all.
The Muslim claim to the incorrupt "injeel" is a lot of crap!
Tell me, if you have any common sense at all, will you believe in a man who was [a] illiterate, [b] totally morally bankrupt [because he was gigiolo, when he was young; and when he was old, he coveted his own adoptive son's young wife!?] [c] a sex offender and a pedophile [he married a 9 year old girl] and [d] a mass murderer [ whose personal kill record was over 300 people] ... now, do you see a guy like that being a "Prophet"?
Don't trust the Moslems who seek to confuse you.
They're already a bit mentally unhinged from all the brainwashing they get in their sorry excuse for a "Religion".
The Bible is a lot of confusion because it's a compilation of a lot of eye witness acounts.
Have you ever seen the testimony in a Court of any Crime and it's eye witness reports?
They are all, usually, different; because of the perspective of the witness; but are considered true because all of them have one underlying truth that shows up as the common factor!
So, now go figure!
Merry Christmas!!!!

I never heard of such a thing. My understanding is that all the versions are simply efforts to resolve disagreements between the Old and New testaments, and don't have anything to do with Aaron. Beside a lot of the Bible happened long after Aaron -- so I think somebody's been messing with you -- maybe thinking that if you're one of the church people you're not too bright...

Absolutely not! Moses and Aaron did not write the Bible.
The Bible was divinely inspired by God. As God spoke to these special men, they wrote it down. Each book has a writer.
You asked about versions of the Bible. The King James Version is the one used by most churches and scholars.

That's the most ludicrous explanation. We have 1 version. It is in Hebrew, dictated by G-d and written down by Moses (and HE had a lisp, not Aaron).

Aaron may have had a lisp, but the language of the day used a lot of thee and thou, rather than you and me.
Different versions of the bible are necessary, because there are different languages, and language changes with time. We have been given the decree by the Lord Himself, to preach the gospel to all nations, always and everywhere. This cannot be done by one ancient version of a hebrew writing.
Thank God for the dedicated people who have continued to keep the Bible relevant to us!

you do not actual ought to bury the e book and wait thousands of years. Scientologists position self belief in a e book that replaced into written truly lately with the help of a guy who very openly reported he replaced right into a author of technological knowledge fiction! really some human beings basically have a favor to position self belief in fairy thoughts. that's escapisism and a fashion of creating existence seem fairer or giving them desire. a number of them get protecting if their beliefs are challenged and the basically reason i will imagine of why they'd get protecting is that deep down they understand their beliefs are fake, yet they don't favor to admit it. imagine about it. in case you actually extremely do even trust some thing, you do not experience any favor to preserve your conception do you? i trust the international is round, not flat. If someone desires to argue that that's flat then i will pay interest in the experience that they have got some kind of logical argument to make, yet until eventually they by some ability convince me the international may actual be flat then i will probably basically tell them i'm particular that's round and go away it at that. i does not experience the favor to preserve my conception in a round Earth. I basically understand that's round and that i do not extremely care if someone thinks otherwise. though, if someone has a sound logical argument (and ideally data) to pursuade me that's flat, i will pay interest with an open options and perchance i will study some thing and modify my conception.

this can not be true because all of the new testament and much of the old testament occurred after the death of these two people.
