Tylenol(Acetaminophen). Advil(Ibuprofen) is a NSAID (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug), and there's different ingredients in Advil than Tylenol that you just simply don't need for headaches. Tylenol is your best bet. Motrin, Aleve, and other pain med's containing anything other than Acetaminophen won't work as well.

1 or 2 • 200mg ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)
+ PLUS +
1 or 2 • 500mg acetaminophen (Extra Strength Tylenol)
They are different classes of pain relievers so they can be taken simultaneously (unless you have a condition that would counter-indicate you taking either of them).
Also get plenty of fluids -- dehydration will often cause headaches. Remember that caffeinated and alcoholic drinks are dehydrating, so avoid them. Sometimes you can get a headache from NOT drinking caffeine if your body is used to having it regularly. In that case, have one of your usual caffeinated beverages.
If you think it could be sinus related, consider taking a decongestant (with or without antihistamine, depending on your related symptoms and medical history) as well.
I also had a wicked headache from this morning into the afternoon. I took 2 Advil, 2 Extra Strength Tylenol, 1 Allegra-D, and 1 Mucinex (guaifenesin); then I took a long shower and let the soothing warm water stream down the back of my neck and spine, and also over my forehead. I massaged my neck, scalp and forehead too. I was fine by the time I got out of the shower.

This is based on accupressure and it works. Look at the back of your left hand. At the point where your index finger and thumb would meet press down on that point just in front of it. It will hurt a little. Now take your right thumb and right index finger and massage that point between them. It should relieve your headache in a minute or so.

Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck. Headaches can be
caused by minor problems like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more
serious reasons like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can have harmful side
effects, so it is better to modify your lifestyle. More information
