Not to be a party pooper, there are only a set number of people that are going to heaven. Sorry folks. Therefore, those who were told by their pastors and priests that they were going to heaven lied to you. If you were told that, ask them to show you from their Bible and yours how you qualify to go to such a lofty place. Plus, if you went there tomorrow, what would you be doing?
Nonetheless, only 144,000 will be going to heaven. Yes, 144,000 will be going to heaven. That is 144,000 out of the over 6 billion people today. Only 1 to 2 percent of the world’s population will be in heaven. How is that so?
Revelation 14:1-3: “And I saw, and, look! the Lamb standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand having his name and the name of his Father written on their foreheads. 2 And I heard a sound out of heaven as the sound of many waters and as the sound of loud thunder; and the sound that I heard was as of singers who accompany themselves on the harp playing on their harps. 3 And they are singing as if a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one was able to master that song but the hundred and forty-four thousand, who have been bought from the earth.”
This number is literal because the scripture above stated it and it is also in-line with Jesus’ statement at Matthew 22:14 regarding the Kingdom of the heavens: “There are many invited, but FEW chosen.” What will those in heaven do?
Revelation 20:6: “They will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him for the thousand years.” (See Also Daniel 7:27)
1 Corinthians 6:2: “Do you not know that the holy ones will judge the world?”
Revelation 5:10: “You made them to be a kingdom and priests to our God, and they are to rule as kings over the earth.”
Who makes this selection? Popes, Priests, Pastors, Reverends or any other religious leader in Christendom does not have a say in that process. In fact, let me keep quiet and let the scriptures explain it for you.
2 Thessalonians 2:13, 14: “We are obligated to thank God always for you, brothers loved by Jehovah, because God selected you from the beginning for salvation by sanctifying you with spirit and by your faith in the truth. To this very destiny he called you through the good news we declare, for the purpose of acquiring the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Therefore, Jehovah God made his selection of the 144,000 from the beginning, or since ancient times. Therefore, that number has been reduced to about 8,000. You think of the many faithful ones over the centuries who are of course deceased and those faithful now. Those who have served Jehovah God for years and those today that are still serving him and are later appointed to heaven are part of the 144,000. Those who have been appointed have been “anointed by Jehovah God.”
As for those on earth, they will “possess the earth and have exquisite delight…” (Psalm 37:10, 11) Since the 144,000 will be in heaven as co-rulers with Jesus in heaven for 1,000 years. Simultaneously, Satan the Devil will be put into the abyss for 1,000 years. Therefore, there will be no more bad influences. Those who were righteous in Jehovah God’s eyes will have the earthly hope. Revelation 21:3, 4: “mention that the earth will be free from tears, outcry, pain and death. The former things have passed away.” Revelation 7:9 speaks of those who will be on the earth while the 144,000 + Jesus as “the great crowd.”
Therefore, the earthly hope still stands. However, everyone wants to go to heaven and the earthly hope is seldom talked about. Then again, Jehovah’s Witnesses around the globe daily preach by going door-to-door daily about the earthly hope. Next time you hear a knock on the door, ask them about the earthly hope in comparison to the heavenly hope.
Take Care

I don't think that the talk of Heaven is very helpful. It makes a lot more sense to think that there is a continuation of life after death until a full life is lived and the true reality of life is complete for each person. We may have to live many lives to come to completion, but it is OK if that is the way.
Some of our biggest assumptions need to be challenged on several basis, like why do we have to believe that the perfection of a single person can not be. On Earth there is no absolute perfection, because we can not conceive of it. But way do we have to interrupt the Bible just based on the words of Priest, Ministers and officials in general? We laymen know also?
Yes they are more conversant with the Bible, but is it necessarily the only way to go? History tells us that Humans have had Gods from the beginning of time, and one God is not necessarily better than another, but Humans do need a faith in life, which I see as a God like being.
Faith is a God like being. And why does one have Faith? Well we find Faith because we have a need for understanding and accepting the fact that makes us seek the most fundamental circle or completeness. You might think of the unification theory or completeness of self and everything at some point.

Matthew 6:10
refers to the kingdom of christ set on earth...read revelation for clarification
Ps. 37:29
Needs to be read in context...its about god preserving the righteous like much of the psalms are
28For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.
29The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.
Ps.37:9-11
Same answer as above
whats the point in this question...to disprove heaven...i hope not this would be a pitiful attempt

Jesus said that no man has ascended unto heaven. All those that gain eternal life on Resurrection day shall live forever on the new Earth. All the dead are still in the graves until that time. Churches teach the Heaven -Hell stuff because they still hang on to Egyptian, Greek and Roman mythology.

"may thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven"?? Its praying and confessing faith that His will should come first in heaven and earth...so what?
PS 37 9-11 and 29 is about Israel, now and after the earthly kingdom is there.
What about every parable?? almost all of them say "the kingdom is heaven is LIKE....." and He never says earth. Heaven is real. And yes, it will be on earth for the millenial reign.

The bible tells us that God will bring Heaven to Earth after the final judgement, and lamb and lion will live together in Harmony along with all those saved in his grace. Heaven will be placed on Earth and all who are saved shall dwell in the house of God forever.

I think to think that heaven will be like creation before the serpent entered the garden, but I can't really decide where it would be. Probably because I am from the earth, I can't imagine anything else.

Our future is on the earth. Only 144,000 very special ones have a heavenly future. Revelation 7;4 and 14;1.
These ones will have a role to play in helping Jesus in the coming judgement.

Yes, we're living on earth today, so it's very logical for us to pray for God to take care of us while we're here.
