guys cheat because the feel that once they have you that your not gonna leave them. its a power trip. if you leave his butt hes gonna want you back bc he knows that he messed up by cheating on you. my advice, if you know your guy is cheating on you dont just let him get away with it, leave his azz and find someone who wont cheat on ya.. good luck

Very complex question. I only cheated once and felt so bad I never did it again.
It's not necessarily that the girl is no good anymore.
Sometimes a guy can have very strong feelings for more than one woman, however if they don't want to share him, and they very rarely will, then he HAS to decide on one of them and stick to his decision.
Why do they cheat? I think it is 90 per cent sexual.
Try making the first move sometime unexpectedly,[ but time it carefully eg not during the football or cricket or whatever :) ]
Grab him and take his trousers off and .... well you get the picture.
Sometimes I think it's just the adventure of sexual change that drives it.
The other 10 % is emotionally driven (yes guys do need love hugs and tenderness too)
But sometimes it's just the opposite and they do it because they just aren't getting enough time on their own.
You have to take a little look at your particular reasons as each guy is different.
Lastly and very importantly
cheat once. you can change.
cheat twice. always a cheat and needs to be dumped.

I would have to say it's based on these two things.
(1) Sex and
(2) A quick fix.
Men have problems with controlling their eyes, hands and etc. (Men are more vision). If the opportunity is there, they will take it, and it doesn't matter if they are happy with their girlfriend.
Although sneaking around takes a lot of effort, many men believe that more effort is required to salvage a rocky relationship. (Men have affairs because they are "lazy". It's easier for them to run off with another woman/man than it is to admit something is wrong with their relationship and make a commitment to work on it). Also the thought of divorcing and changing everyone's lives is much too hard to handle. So the easier choice is an affair. I don't think it's the right choice, but most men will take that easy road, thinking no one will be hurt because they are keeping the marriage and family intact.

Guys are prewired to cheat, still does not make it right, or mean it's okay. We have self control. However, women cheat too. Almost as much as men. It is a fact. women cheat for different reasons. Men cheat for pure sexual pleasure (most of the time) Women cheat because they are not being emotionally satisfied.

Because you've based your relationship on sex before marriage. For people that date people with higher morals this is not nearly as much of a problem. For people that place sex into the dating relationship they need to get used to their partner getting tired of them and moving on to another sexual partner. That is the price of pursuing a life of low morals. Sorry.
