i think they do find it funny but they dont want you to know it because they fear that it will make them look less feminine. they pretend that nothing they do is gross. take it from a woman.
and i want to apoligize for all the people who are being impolite with their rude comments. and they want to call you gross while they are at it.

What do you expect, he is only 3 years old and as long as the adults in his life make a big deal about him passing gas, he will continue to do it loudly to get a rise out of you. Whether the attention is positive or negative he is getting attention. Ignore his behavior and the laughter will eventually stop. Unfortunately farting is a normal bodily function and can't always be stopped but ignoring how he reacts to it is something you can do. The same with bad language. Let him know once or twice that the words he might start using are not nice but don't make a big deal about it. This method worked well in our household and our boys are now 26 and 20, although frequent outbursts do eminate from our younger son's room when he is playing video games.

I find it very funny only when my 2 year old niece say "I farted" and then she gives me a very embarrassed but cute smile after that.

HI! People think its funny, because it is embarrassing. Most males think it is funny, don't know why. My sons think its the funniest thing in the world.
I am a woman, and SOMETIMES , yes, I admit, it is funny. Most woman don't think it is funny, because its not "proper".
Come on? Isn't it funny when someone bends over and oops! It catches that person off guard? Ive worked in retail, and let me tell you.... It is NOT funny when the farter is your customer with a huge order and a raunchy air about them!
