Just straight verses nothing cryptic. Do they put their own opinions over the Bible?

The Nativity scene

There was no number of astrologers recorded who went to find Jesus
The Star of Bethlehem was manifested by Satan to guide the astrologers to Jesus's whereabout so they could report to King Herod.
Jesus was at least 2 years old not a newborn baby.

These points are easily clarified in Matthew Chapter 2 but Christians still hold on to the school Nativity play which is not according to scripture.

Becausse as 2Tim.4:4 says they turn their ears from the truth, and prefer to have them tickled. Christmas was outlawed in many of the original colonies of the US, most people don't know or care why, they like customs and thats all that matter. The astrologers which is what the wise men were; were sent to find and kill the child not honor as they did, by the time they found him he was not a babe in a manger hence Herod's order for male children - 2 and under to be killed- the approximate age of the child.

For an example of this lets use John 1:1 some would say that this is a solid scripture for proofing the trinity. But if you would read the whole book of John there would be no way that you could honesty think that it was meant to be taken that way. You also have to take in that Satan has blinded the minds of the unbelievers.
I have done this so I am talking from my own experience.

the fact of the matter is the the entire story and meaning of Christmas has been corrupted by Satan. True Christians know what the bible says and teaches. These Nativity scenes make for good story telling and money making but they are not true to scripture as is most of the things being taught today.

Yes, they do. Don't ever show Mark16;16, Acts2;38, Romans 6:3,4,5,6, 1 Corinthians 12:13,Galatians 1:8, 1Peter 3:21 to someone who denies baptism is essential to salvation.

Christians can get very hateful if you show scripture to them that contradicts what they believe in their heart. What they believe in their heart is much more important that what the scriptures say.

Millions of Christians put their salvation in the doctrine of faith only and the unscriptural doctrine of asking Jesus into your heart and saying the sinners prayer and it is not even hinted at in the bible.

Actually they were three Buddhist monks sent to find an enlightened being who had been born. They have been doing this for thousands of years.

Following a star refers to the astrological signs that told them that Jesus had been born.

People thumbs down anything that does not agree with the particular version of the popular fantasy that they follow.

Love and blessings Don.

there are a number of here who do no longer understand the Bible, in basic terms what their ministers tell them, and look at themselves to be Christians. yet TD'ing isn't blasphemy of the Holy Spirit. EDIT BTW, its extremely doubtful that the she-bears surely killed the toddlers. The verse says that the bears 'tore them'. I take this to intend that they have got been wounded, no longer killed.

If you could reference a specific statement it might be easy to answer, but generalities like in your statement are hard to see.

People spend their whole lives learning how to real the Bible, while people like you and me often take things out of context.

For starters please try to remember that the Old Testament is only a history book and the two commandments in the New Testament are how we should live our lives today.

Another issue casual observers often misquote is that when the Bible speaks of being dead or alive, it's refereeing to spiritual life, not physical. When they say Christians have to be born again, they're not talking about another physical birth, but a spiritual birth. When a person reaches the age of understanding and accepts Jesus as their Savior, they're said to have a spiritual birth.

Hope all this helps.

I don't think it would generally be Christians thumbing down Bible verses. However, I must say that the folks who cut and paste a thousand verses from their on-line Bible program don't do us any good. It is so annoying that nobody ever reads it.
Just quote a verse or two to illustrate your point. If someone is interested, they will look it up, and read it for themselves.

Quoting something from a book, whether or not you believe it, does not mean it's true. You may believe it, but not everyone does. Does that mean if I quote something from a book (not the Bible) does that make it correct? Didn't think so. All quoting scripture shows is that you can read and type, nothing more. It takes more than quotes to change people's way of thinking.

Because they don't actually read the whole thing, so they don't know. Those who do know claim you "took it out of context". You can paste the whole book and they would still thumbs down you. That, and they don't like being proven wrong. About anything.
