It's simply a blocked sinus. Try a warm compress on your forehead for a bit. If the problem doesn't go away in a few days to a week, see a doctor -- you might have a bacterial sinus infection that an antibiotic will clear up fairly quickly.

You may have some sinus problems, due to a cold. Take the "head on" it really does work. But also, try an antihistimine. That should relieve the pressure. A hot, wet wash cloth layed on your eyes will help too if you can lay down.

If you've never had this problem, it shouldn't happen again.

Sounds like sinus pressure. It bothers some people more than others. The husband of a co-worker broke his nose in the past and began to experience extreme sinus pressure pain on take-offs and landings during flights - he would sometimes successfully offset the pain by taking some sinus pressure meds before takeoff/landing.

Sinus problem. Likely eustachian tubes plugged up. Get in a steamy place (such as a bathroom with the shower running). Chew gum (so that the jaw movement makes the tubes open up) If that doesn't work try holding your nose and GENTLY try to blow through your nose while it's plugged up.
