If someone uses a clamp on your nostril piercing...RUN!!
I use a hollow 15 gauge needle and pierce from the outside into what is called a Receiving tube, which is essentially a tube that you pierce into (just a hollow tube). Then the end of the jewelry goes into the end of the hollow needle and threaded through until the needle can be removed, and all that is left is the jewelry!!
Good luck!!

The nose piercing was the easiest one I've gotten! It was a little sore for a couple days, then like it never happen. It's just like getting a shot. Quick pinch, then it's over. I didn't have any swelling, and very little redness. It's super easy to get done, and super easy to take care of. I also think it hurt alot less than getting my cartilage pierced. And as far as the process goes:
The clean your nose real good, inside about out.
Make a dot, and then have you check the dot.
Then they clap it real gently.
Then the push a hollow needle through.
Then they put in your jewelry and you're done.
It's no biggy really. Not to mention, they're adorable.
Go for it! You'll love it.

that "machine" that the girl is talkign about above must be a piercing gun! NEVER GET AN PIERCING WITH A GUN! THEY ARE NOT SUITABLE FOR ANY PIERCING!!!!!!!!!.
i do not have my nose pierced. but they use a hollow needle (sterilized in an oven called autoclave which kills ALL bacteria, putting alcohol on it only santitzes, not sterilizes, there is a difference) they may use a reciveing tub so they dont poke any other areas of the nose when pierced. and put in the jewelry.. but it must be liek gettign your cartilage pierced (pain wise) lol i have 3 carilage piercinds and they all hurt! but if you go to a pierce shop and they use piercing guns run away! they are not reputable. no professional, licesned piercer will have a piercing gun in thier store....

Have you ever gotten your cartalige on your ear pierced? It sorta feels like that. They use a needle to pierce it. It's only a quick second and it's over. You'll hear a "pop" noise, but thats it. In the end, it's all worth it. Good luck.

they used the same machine to pierce your ears for your nose. you pick which side and the snap the machine real quick. I had my cousin omar hold my hand. and I remember the pinch of tightness I felt in my nose and a single tear that streamed down my face. and how incredible I felt when I did it . have a blast. it looks sexy and its exotic to me.

I have had my nose done my nostril and my septum....
they pierce it with a sterilized needle.
It' doesn't hurt but it all depends on your pain tolerance.

first they will ask you where.
then they sterilize with an alcohol swab.
then they make a dot with a marker.
then they clamp your nose with a tweezer like instrument.
then they puncture your tissue with a hollow needle.
then they insert the jewlery.
good luck.
