That would depend on how much pain you are having. Is it more than a bad sinus infection? If it is, then I would have it checked out. If you have never had a bad sinus infection, it feels like someone hit you in the head over your eye with a hammer. Ouch!!

You may have some sinus problems, due to a cold. Take the "head on" it really does work. But also, try an antihistimine. That should relieve the pressure. A hot, wet wash cloth layed on your eyes will help too if you can lay down. If you've never had this problem, it shouldn't happen again.

Sinus problem. Likely eustachian tubes plugged up. Get in a steamy place (such as a bathroom with the shower running). Chew gum (so that the jaw movement makes the tubes open up)
If that doesn't work try holding your nose and GENTLY try to blow through your nose while it's plugged up.

Sinus problem. One of sinuses could be plugged and the trapping air, the sudden change of pressure would cause you pain. Added inflammation would keep the pain present. I would suggest going to a doctor, It could be a minor infection that has gone unnoticed or allergies.

Could be your sinuses (nasal cavities) have been aggravated from being pressurized in a plane. See the doc soon just to be safe! And feel better!

Do over-think it. You are ok. If it really bothers you then go to your doc.
