Roosters don't lay eggs... but I only clicked your question to point out a simple grammatical error you made... You say... if a rooster laid an egg... not if a rooster layed an egg.

And you should also indicate if the roof is flat or other, because if it's a flat roof, then even if the rooster did manage to lay an egg, it wouldn't roll anywhere.
